Fun Fact: Unlike the more commonly known white Desert Rose, the orange variety gets its warm, rusty color from the presence of iron oxide in the crystals. Both forms are made of gypsum and barite, but the color difference is due to the mineral composition, giving each variety its own distinctive appearance.
