This striking honeycomb coral fossil features exceptionally well-preserved coral cells, with the original hexagonal pattern remaining clearly visible across the specimen. Over millions of years, portions of the fossil have begun to crystallize, creating beautiful natural sparkle and texture throughout the piece. Dark mineral deposits add additional contrast and character, making every angle interesting to explore!

This fossil is a genuine specimen, hand-dug from the earth and part of our collection of fossils gathered from fossil-rich locations across the Midwest, including: Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio.
